STRONGEST CHARACTER: ADRIANNA SANDERS

ELIMINATED: SERENA CASTRO

Serena Castro cautiously walked back to the bamboo tent. Her body had been overcome with fear ever since the plane crashed, and the recent discovery of the mysterious dog only seemed to enhance her fears. She was suspicious, and only understood dogs as being unpredictable and dangerous. However, this large, white creature only seemed to radiate a sense of peace. Despite all of the horrible scenarios Serena imagined regarding the dog’s owner, she still found herself returning to the tent. She pulled open the flaps, and peered inside. It was completely empty. Her eyebrows furrowed together in confusion, and her mind could not seem to decide if the dog’s disappearance was a good thing or not. One thing was for sure, the bamboo would still supply her with a perfect shelter.
As she began cleaning the interior, she couldn’t help but wonder whether or not the dog would return. Her curiosity soon took over, and with this, she poked her head out of the tent and glanced at her surroundings. There was no evidence of where the dog could have gone, and its absence only strengthened Serena’s desire for interaction. With high hopes, she left her small bamboo dwelling in search of the animal. She traveled across the sand and into the tropical forest. Her stomach twisted and screamed signs of hunger, so she made a mental note to carry extra food back with her to the tent.
Serena became restless as time increased. It couldn’t be confirmed, but she felt as though hours have gone by. She turned on her heels, and began heading in the direction from which she came from. However, something caught her attention from the corner of her eye. There, roughly ten feet away from her, laid a perfect pile of berries. Neon red in color, the berries were placed uniformly onto a large palm leaf. The sight was truly satisfying, and Serena wasted no more time to silence her growing hunger. She sprinted over to the fruit, grabbed a handful, and threw them into her mouth. Instantly, she collapsed to the ground. Her face was plastered with an emotionless expression, and her heart no longer carried a beat.
In the distance, a wretched old man could be seen. His hands were stained red from juice, and he erupted in a sinister laughter when he watched Serena consume the berries. Obediently beside the man, sat a large, white dog.
